About the Photographer

Originally from the East Coast, Summer Gathercole moved to Denver, Colorado in the spring of 2012. After 4 years of hectic city life, Summer moved to a log house nestled in the Rocky Mountains, elevation: 10,000 feet! Her home is surrounded by wildlife such as bear, moose, elk, and fox. And although she sees deer every other day, Summer still rushes to the window to observe them, completely enamored and delighted by their grace. She is fortunate to run her own consulting firm, which allows her the flexibility to travel the world. She takes one big trip a year – usually to a place that gives her the opportunity to photograph the indigenous wildlife. Her desire is to have people experience the same joy she feels when seeing wildlife in their natural environment.
